The Outback Hotel and Lodge, Ayers Rock

The previously known Outback Pioneer Hotel was renamed The Outback Hotel and Lodge at Ayers Rock in 2023 after its first renovation in more than 20 years.

Our Head of Design, Mike Watson headed up the interior designer for the multi-million-dollar refurbishment. Dezign were appointed by Voyages to manufacture and supply the custom FFE for the 125 guestrooms.

The upgrade was a full refurbishment including all base finishes, new ensuite bathrooms and new furniture and soft furnishings. The colour palette reflects the earthy tones of the Uluru landscape with warm reds, ochres, and sun-bleached timber.
