The Grand Mercure

Partnering closely with our client, Accor Vacation Club, Dezign has successfully delivered a stunning $3.1 million refurbishment of 31 club apartments at Grand Mercure The Vintage in the heart of the Hunter Valley. Our talented design and construction teams worked meticulously to reimagine and elevate these spaces, offering guests a fresh, modern retreat that captures the essence of this iconic wine region.

With a contemporary design vision by Mel Porter Design, the refurbishment features a sophisticated palette of earthy browns, light sand, chic greys, and rich burgundy, accented with pops of bright yellow and olive green. The result is a seamless blend of elegance and comfort that enhances the overall guest experience.

Dezign undertook a comprehensive ceiling-to-floor transformation, introducing fresh plank-style vinyl flooring in common areas, plantation shutters, stone benchtops, and wooden wall-mounted bedheads to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The apartments now boast updated kitchen cabinetry, appliances, mixers, and sinks, along with new strip lighting and splashbacks. In the living and bedroom areas, new carpets, furniture, and upgraded lighting elements—including pendant lighting, downlights, and lamps—add to the luxurious ambiance.

Signature features such as an elegant chandelier above the dining table and a striking feature stone wall for the living room fireplace bring a touch of sophistication to the apartments, ensuring guests feel at home in their luxurious surroundings.
