Crowne Plaza Perth
Working closely with the hotel ownership Marlow, based in Singapore and Indonesia, local management, and the IHG technical and operations team, Dezign was engaged to deliver the complete interior design and refurbishment of 189 guestrooms across 12 levels at Crowne Plaza Perth.
The project involved the full refurbishment of all guestrooms and the front river-facing tower of bathrooms within a live, operating hotel, requiring careful staging and close coordination to maintain guest experience and operational continuity throughout the works. As noted by Tony Hart, General Manager of Crowne Plaza Perth, “Dezign managed the project across every stage, from early planning through to completion, delivering a seamless process that gave our team confidence throughout the refurbishment.”
The guestroom interiors were reimagined to align with Crowne Plaza brand standards while responding to the practical demands of a high-performing hotel. New finishes, bespoke joinery, furniture, lighting, fixtures and fittings were introduced across all rooms, balancing aesthetic refinement with durability, functionality, and ease of maintenance. The design team worked closely with hotel management and IHG stakeholders to ensure the vision aligned with both brand identity and day-to-day operational requirements.
Dezign led the project end to end, integrating design, procurement, manufacturing, and construction under a single point of accountability. This integrated approach enabled a controlled and efficient delivery while carefully managing programme, quality, and disruption within a live hotel environment.
The completed refurbishment delivers a fully renewed guestroom product across all 189 rooms, elevating guest comfort and strengthening Crowne Plaza Perth’s position within the Perth market.
